About the Venue

Deakin's Warrnambool Campus is set on the banks of the picturesque Hopkins River, close to local surf beaches and popular tourist attractions. The 94 hectare site is approximately five kilometres from the centre of Warrnambool CBD, serviced by the Princes Highway and by its own railway station and bus services. Warrnambool has a population of 34,000 and is roughly 250 kilometres west of Melbourne.

With surf beaches and the Hopkins river at your doorstep, you have a choice to live off site or on campus. Finding a place to live can be a headache, especially when you're new in town.

During your stay at Warrnambool, you can live in a studio apartment room, organised by us at $64/night? You'll have your own bathroom and kitchen in one of our studio apartment rooms, as well as a king single bed (that's a thing), built-in wardrobe and study area.

Alternatively, living off campus is a great – and affordable – way to get to know the town when you're around for 31ACSSSC.

Deakin University proudly provides a smoke-free environment on all its campuses. Visit deakin.edu.au/health-and-wellbeing for more information.
